And you have one data file for each software program? If you have more than one data file in a gen program, then the path for the data file then would be: C:\Data\FOW\SurnameX? Marilyn

All of my FOW files reside in the C:\Data\FOW\ folder. I do not have a separate folder for each family file I my have. FTM is the easiest genealogy software to deal with (file wise) as all of the data for one family file resides in one FTW file not 35 like FOW. So, I think that's a yes if I understand your question correctly ...
