Derrick -- I do something similar for the same purpose, but not trusting myself not to foul up the name, I drop my "x" in the "title" field. If I'm interrupted before cleaning up the entry, no real harm done. That won't pull the two entries together alphabetically the way your tip does, but it makes the right entries instantly recognizable as I page rapidly through the possibilities and it saves me from the idiot things I sometimes do to my database. <g> Ardis
