    3. First of all, you have to have at least Windows 95 to run any version of Family Origins later than 6. To upgrade to version 4 or later from 2 or three, you have to create a GEDCOM file and import it into the newer version. It all works quite painlessly. USUALLY! Once in a great while something goes wrong any the user gets desperate and writes a note to this mail list. I don’t remember version 2 or three, but in later versions, there is a way to rearrange the order of marriages and children. It is under the edit menu, and headed by rearrange, Oh heck, I gota start the old computer and check or else I will tell you a lie. In Version 2.5, highlight a parent in the family you want to adjust, you hit the slash key to bring up the menu, then the “M” key for modify, then select “Rearrange”, then “Children” or “spouses” move the highlight over the individual you want to move, hit the enter key, then the arrow keys will move that individual to where you want him or her, hit enter again to make the move stick. Then move another if you want. (I had to read it in the help files – it is there plain as day ) Good Luck, Alfred ----- Original Message ----- From: <ncsdfrsd@juno.com> > In replying please remember I am not totally savvy with technology so > please be as clear with any directions as possible.
