I got place finder when I upgraded last year and have gradually been trying to make sure I had counties for all the cities in my database. I have found more than once that some states have the same name city in different counties. An example: Plainview, TX list Planview in 7 different counties. I looked up on the zip code finder on the Internet and find only one Plainview that has a zip code. I also looked in my atlas and there is only one Plainview mentioned. Could someone please explain this? Eleanor
Two good reasons. 1. Some city fathers have no imagination and copy the names from other locations without regard to previous usage with states and/or counties. 2. Some cities actually exist across county boundries, and in some cases state and national boundries.
