I would like to introduce my students to genealogy and tried to install FOW 10 on the server of a classroom computer network. The installation went smoothly and I experienced no problem creating a new database. But when I tried to add an individual to the new database the following error messages appeared: Codebase error Error #: -20 Error #: 90602 Creating File file4create C:\programfiles\parsons technology\familyorigins\fowevlst.dbf This message was followed by: Codebase error Error #: -935 Error ": 94001 Null Input Parameter unexpected d4field After that the program shut down (fatal application exit). My understanding of the problem is that when adding information to a database the program creates a permanent or maybe temporary file (fowevlst.dbf) in the program files folder. But since this folder is located on the server, the program is denied access to the folder for network security reasons. Is it possible to make the program create that file in the default folder for the new database? The program will have unlimited access to that folder and no security problems will occur. I know that FOW was not constructed as a network application but I would very much like to be able to use it for educational puposes. Børge E. Torgersen, Norway
