    3. Floreda, I am not sure what you mean by FAV (Family Archive Viewer possibly), but the icon with the tree appears to be a gedcom file from your description and perhaps the FAV program is trying to open it. Try the following: Open the FAMILY ORIGINS program Create a new database in FO (Click on File, new, etc.) With the new empty database open on the screen, Click on file, then gedcom, then import Navigate to the folder where your icon with the tree is located Click to import it into that new database Margaret Scheffler ----- Original Message ----- From: "Varick" <tallygators@earthlink.net> To: <FAMILY-ORIGINS-USERS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 21, 2003 3:11 PM Subject: [FO] GEDCOM > I normally do not "do GEDCOM". However, I received one via email that I am most anxious to see. It is a .zip file. I said "open it" and I got an icon with a little tree. > Then when I tried to open by clicking on the icon, FAV.60 popped up. I have FAV on my computer. But when I say OK it tells me it can't get to the CD Rom.
