    3. Hi, allan, Keith, Dennis, and others: Thanks ! I am just getting to understand this. I think for my purposes, I will just print the number I want after the individual's name (in Brackets). In that way it will display for the purposes I want (identification on non computer read charts. Iw ish it could be a toggle option. I could use REFN, but it wouldn't print in the main tree. Allan: I have been getting some new data from Ellisisland database, but I often have the husband without the wife, etc., because they haven't travelled on the same ship. I woud want husband and wife and children to have close numbers (just sentimental I guess) but I often don't find the missing spouse for a few days or weeks. I guess I could create a xxx record until I fill in the person. Does that make sense to you ?
