    3. Carolyn, Apparently you are trying to do a disk-spanning backup to your hard drive. Your hard drive is a non-removable disk. The disk spanning backup is meant for backups to diskettes and other portable (removable) disks. If you want to backup to your hard drive or if you are sure your backup will fit on one diskette then you have to select "single disk compressed backup". If you want to backup to a diskette (which might require more than one diskette) then you need to select "disk spanning backup" and be sure to specify the save location as a removable disk drive such as your A: (diskette) drive.
