    3. With version 10 due out probably sometime this summer, I am seriously thinking about installing it as a "new install" into a different directory than I have always had it up until now (C:\Program Files\Parsons Technology\Family Origins), most likely putting it into *\Program Files along with nearly every other application. My dilemma is this. . . . . I also have well over 400 photos also in the same directory, in a folder titled "Photos," and moving this to the same new location will sever the connection to them with the program. Since they will all be leaving the same directory and going to the same directory, is there any way of changing the link to the photos using "global search\replace," either with Family Origins or my Windows 98 SE? I sure do not want to have to change all 400+ photo links one at a time if I do not have to, but that is the only thing I can think of to do. If any of you "experts" out there ("Wayne," "Bruce," "Alfred") have any suggestions, I would sure welcome hearing from you. I have a bad habit of doing things, and then realizing I have "passed the point of no return" and have a mess to fix, so this time I am trying to think ahead a little bit before I go over the deep end. . . . . again. If it matters with anything, I currently have FO 9.02 running on Windows 98 SE. Thank you in advance for any suggestions. David MSgt David E. 3. David, There is a tip on page 189 of "Getting the Most Out of Family Origins 4th Edition" that addresses this particular point. The example given is: Your photos are in C:\FOWIN\PHOTOS\ but you moved them all to D:\FAMILY ORIGINS\PICTURES\ All you need to do is globally search the multimedia filenames for C:\FOWIN\PHOTOS\ and replace it with D:\FAMILY ORIGINS\PICTURES\ FL Rose ----- Original Message ----- From: "David E.
