Can someone tell me how to backup my family data on a CD Rewrite Program. I have FO Version 9.2. Thank you. Marge.
You need to have the program that will format the CD in the packet mode. This is different than a standard CD burn. It usually takes about a half hour or more to format the CDRW, but then you can use it just as you would any other removable media. To me, this is longer that I care to spend formatting a disk. I have tried it, but had difficulty in recovering the data. With that, I went to straight cd burns, either CDR or CDRW. As CDR disks are as low as $.05 ea in larger quantities (200), its easier to burn the disk and later use it for ornaments or bird chasers <G>. The one problem about the packet mode, is that it is quite often particular to the drive and packet software that you used initially. If you have to change anything, then you may not be able to recover. The safest and most readable in the CD methods is a burn from the hard drive to a CDR in a standard ISO format. You should be able to read this in almost any CD Rom drive. Keith Paul Divan wrote: > > Can someone tell me how to backup my family data on a CD Rewrite Program. I have FO Version 9.2. Thank you.
