If given the choice and you are a home user who plays games, I would choose to install Windows 98 2nd edition. Some computer experts have little good to say about ME. Windows 2000 is said to be extremely stable, but is not designed for many games, should you have ones you want to play. I had purchased ME at the time it was released, then never used it after I investigated Windows 98 vs. Windows ME.
