Now I know what the blank spot looks like. It is the same size as the "Place List" frame. About the time I started to use the Place Listing to find people (being the fastest way to find a person if you know the town and your file is 115,000) the problem started thereafter so it may have to do with this part of the programing. >From the place name listing, I find the year and person and then use the # next to them and go back to the name listing and go to # box and type it in, then that person comes up for review. This is my substitute to my old PAF who had the years after the Person Listing which I loved and miss. I was told that FO listing of people ( say all Marys) are not by the year but by the typing in of that next Mary in that order only. sure wish it was by the year from old to now. Stafford-Ames
Since similar problems have happened to a number of us, doing different types of editing, I am still convinced that it is the old Windows memory problem. With continual going back and forth between various screens and Windows sometimes not releasing the memory, over time there is a problem.
