    3. Gedcom file import: Click on file at upper left of FO screen Create new database within FO giving it a unique name Choose Gedcom import Navigate to where the gedcom file is located that you want to import Click to import file File should import and your guest gedcom file will be in its own database If you are following all the steps and the gedcom file will not import, perhaps it is corrupted or you are trying to use a backup file from a program rather than a gedcom file. The file must be in the format "filename.ged". If you downloaded it in the form "filename.exe", you must unzip it before trying to import it into FO. Let us know where you are having the problem.
