I use Windows 98 and this works for me" 1. Select any .TXT document and right click on it while holding down the shift key. 2. In the box of options which appears, click on "open with". 3. Scroll down to "WORDPAD" and click on it. 4. Make sure there is a check mark in front of "Always use this program to open this type of file". 5. Click, "OK" The key to this operation is holding down the shift key while right clicking on the .TXT file... it's the only way you get the "open with" option. Hope this helps.
