Margaret, > Does anyone know for sure if there is ANYTHING other than user >defined facts that gets lost in a gedcom export and import within the >current versions of FO? Based purely on my own experience, and I do not do it nearly as often as you do, I have always been able to import 100% of the information (I do not have any user-defined facts), so long as you choose the right options when exporting, and then import it to Family Origins of the same version (9.02 currently, but anxiously waiting for 10.0 <g>). There are a LOT of people on this list who know more than I do, so they may tell you otherwise, but that has been my own experience and understanding. It must be kept in mind, though, that when importing a GEDCOM not created in the same version of the same software, you will virtually always lose something, but it is generally minimal. A GEDCOM created by our old friend FTM, though, seems to be among the worst, in my experience. David <clip> MSgt David E.
