If you have a PDF printer driver installed on your computer then it is quite likely that MSWord will notice that and provide a printer option in its own menu that will use that PDF writer. Such is the case on my own computer. But the PDF writer is not a part of and doesn't come with MSWord. I would guess it's probably the same with Word Perfect. Wayne League

    3. Actually, you are right about Word, but wrong about WordPerfect. WordPerfect 9 does include the ability to create a basic PDF file. word only provides that option if you have Acrobat (or at least PDF Writer) installed. 3. Thats true. I have Word 97 and have the option to print to PDF, but I have the PDF print driver from the Adobe PhotoDeluxe (ver 3.0) that came with my digital camera. You can purchase this program for about $50 (much cheaper than the price of the full Adobe program <G>). I use this option directly from FO for books that I want to send to others. It then has all the photos, formating, etc that a printed version would have. 3. I was wondering if WordPerfect and Microsoft Word were picking up on the fact that I had that driver installed as it was a surprise to me that the capability to print to PDF was there. Anyway, they both produced PDF files from the programs.
