    1. [FO] Off Topic Question
    2. Yvonne Bennett
    3. This is a computer question. The people on this list are so computer smart I hope it's ok to ask :-) I bought the 1880 US Census from LDS and I can't view it! After down loading the viewer that comes with it I get the following message. ""Run time error "339" Component "Folio Objects ocx' ot one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" I have contacted Teck help and this is their reply " There are a few, like yourself, experiencing similar problems. These appear to be related to irregularities in the operating system as installed on your machine. Some are known to be problems in the Microsoft software. Others are currently undetermined. We will notify you, 1) when we can provide an appropriate resolution" That was more than 3 weeks ago, so I guess they have not come up with a fix. My question is, 1. has anyone else had this problem and 2. doe's anyone have any suggestions as how I might get around it? Other then as they suggested installing it on another computer which I don't have. Please contact me off list if you have any suggestions <yvonne@monmouth.com> Thank's in advance for any suggestions offered. Yvonne

    3. Yvonne; I tried to install the 1880 US Census from LDS yesterday. It automatically started installing (as it was supposed to), then I received a message on the screen "INVALID DISK. Replace disk, strike any letter." After several attempts, I e-mailed them today, asking for a VALID disk. I had to use a friend's computer, since I couldn't remove the above phrase; tried Alt, CTl, Del without results. I can't use my computer now at all.
