A new found cousin has offered to send me the book length, prose family history which she wrote some time ago using Windows 3. It is still on her old computer hard drive. The question is: If she sends it, will I be able to download it on my Windows 98? Should I try to put it somewhere in FO or in a separate file until I see just what it is? Suggestions most welcome. It's not the windows version that counts. It's the version of the word processor that she used. Do you have that version or later? If not, then you may be able to convert to whatever word porcessor you use. However if you have the same or later version of the word processor it will read the prior version and convert to your version.
