    3. In my experience the easiest way is to highlight the person you want as the start of the line (for example, the grandfather of one of your large families)and then do the following: From the toolbar, choose Reports, then Books, then in the dialog box that opens, choose Descendant book (modified register), the number of generations forward you want (usually three works pretty well for your purposes), select whatever other information you want included, and then under the box at the bottom right, "Print to", select ASCII (txt) file. Click on Create, and a dialog box opens asking you to name the new text file. By default it will be placed in the directory you have your FO program, but I usually change this to the Desktop so I can find the new file easily for email purposes. Type in a name for the file (John.txt, something that will identify it for you) and click OK. FO will make an ordinary text file that can be opened in Notepad or any word processor. That's the file you will then be able to easily attach to an email. You can also edit the text file yourself before sending it.
