The only good way that I know is to go to the Place List and edit each entry. I have done this and it is time consuming but it works. Some places there are such punctuations as "..," which I'd like to clean up. This is a result of merging several different files that have been sent me. Now, the only way I can think to do this is open a GEDCOM of the file in a text reader and do Find/Replace for what I want to change. Can anybody come up with a more efficient way to do this? Can anyone foresee any problems? Hope this hasn't been covered before. Appreciate your input.
