    3. Margie, PDF files are compressed, so they are efficient for sending by email. Also, it's easy to include graphics (with the right PDF generator). But I use them for very efficient distribution of my genealogy books, which I put on my website available for downloading by my relatives. A PDF "book" with index enables cousins to download the entire book, and only print out the pages they are interested in. I used MS Word and WordPerfect files originally, but this involved generating two versions, and still I wasn't able to provide a version that was readable by everyone. Anyone can get the free PDF reader, even those "strange" cousins who use a Mac. <vbg> Beldin4@aol.com wrote: > > Hi Listers, > What is the reason for printing to PDF files?
