    1. [FO] FTM to FO
    2. When I gedcom a Family Tree Maker file into Family Origins it doesn't move FACT 1, FACT 2, etc., over. Is there a way to move these, other than retyping them? The facts are shown under MORE ABOUT XXX - FACTS in the Family Tree Maker program. Kathy

    3. Kathy, That must be a pretty old version of FTM. More recent versions enable you to give the FTM facts names, and you can transfer the GEDCOM over and retain many of the same names. I've also found it useful to apply Gary Bonham's GEDCOM Explorer to the FTM originated GEDCOM before importing it into FO. That cleans up a few items that makes dealing with the file in FO much easier. You can download an evaluation copy of GEDCOM Explorer at http://www.gedx.com/gedx/default.html KMcKellep@aol.com wrote: > > When I gedcom a Family Tree Maker file into Family Origins it doesn't move > FACT 1, FACT 2, etc., over.
