    1. [FO] Generating FGS web pages

    3. My question is about the results of generating a family group sheet website. I don't know if I did something wrong or if what I got was an anomaly of some sort. My intent was not to generate my entire database, but instead to generate FGS of key ancestors, their families, and descendants with spouses forward for X number of generations (to exclude living people altogether), and then their ancestors and spouses. I chose several of my lines and made selections for family, as child with family, as parent with child, X number of generations for descendant with spouses and ancestors with spouses. I think I made the appropriate check marks to do this, but maybe didn't, as I would up with results that included living individuals, although their data was marked "(living)." I thought I would just go back through the data and try again. But I wound up with something that I don't understand. On at least two of these FGS (mine and my sister's) the link on our "family as child" FGS included a link to another FGS as "parent with children" for our earlier defunct marriages with no children... but it generated NO chart for our present marriages (also with no children). Why would it have only generated FGS for the first marriages and not the second? Neither had any children. Was there a selection asking for this type of generation that I missed? Or is this some kind of anomaly in the reporting? I hope I've described this clearly enough so someone can explain what happened and one should expect from this type of website generation with FO. Thanks, Patricia

    3. While you are welcome to ask questions here about the various software programs, you might want to join the specific lists that help with each program. You would get more expert help, often from the creator of the program on those lists. Go here: http://lists.rootsweb.com and then choose SOFTWARE. Clare

    3. If anyone has created their web site with FO's family group sheet capability, can you tell me... When you selected it to print all descendants and spouses, if someone had more than one marriage, did it print charts for both marriages or only the first? When I checked my results in more detail, I find that it created a family group sheet for only the first marriage, whether or not there were children from both marriages. Is this to be expected from FO when it creates this type of website, or is there something to check to make it actually create family group chart web pages for ALL descendants? Is is necessary to just create the FGS web pages from the entire database? Or will it still create charts for only the first marriages? Does anybody know?
