Trying to answer a couple of questions. “When did FAMILY ORIGINS first come out?” I don’t know exactly, but: My first Family Origins User’s guide, the one with no version number has the date of April 1992 on the title page. From page ii of the guide: “COPYRIGHTS AND TRADEMARKS FAMILY ORIGINS is a trademark of Parsons Technology, Inc. The FAMILY ORIGINS software is licensed property of Parsons Technology, Inc. and is copyright © 1991 – 1992 by FormalSoft. Manual copyright © 1992 by Parsons Technology, Inc. It will be here when it arrives. The release date has always been a secret, so there is no need discussing it. The last few versions, at least, have arrived before the autumnal equinox.
