You may have another version of FO still hanging around on your computer and could be trying to apply the patch to that version. Other versions use the same filenames, ie: Fowin32.exe and Fowin32.hlp. If you have more than one copy of these files on your computer you should probably delete one of them. If the Fowin32.hlp file from one version had been copied into the folder with another version's Fowin32.exe then that would cause the specific problem you mention. It may be necessary for you to reinstall FO from your install CD right over your existing FO. (Doing this will not bother your database data, but having a backup is always indispensable.) After that you should be able to install the patch with no trouble. (Be sure to note which folder you install FO into if it is different than the default directory on the patch) Wayne League "Parkinson" <wraithp@charter.net> wrote: >Okay, started getting code base error, so double checked to >see if the patch installed. Thanks to Wayne, I re-installed FO, using C:\Family Origins, and then cited that location for the patch. All went fine, then I just trashed the other one at the default location which refused to accept the patch. Still have no idea why it would not. Back in business! Kathy
