First of all, you have to extract the FO database attachment from the email and place it in a folder on your hard drive, preferably a new and empty folder. With Outlook Express this is easy to do, but first, determine where you want to put it, or create a new folder to hold it. Then, while in Outlook express, with the e-mail highlighted or opened, click on the "File" menu and select "Save Attachment" then browse to your predetermined location and store it there. Now, What kind of file is it? What kind of extension does it have, GED, ZIP, or something else? If it is a GEDCOM file with the extension of GED, You should open Family Origins, create a new database and import the GEDCOM into it. If it is a backup file with a ZIP extension, then you should open Family Origins, close your opened databases and RESTORE the zip file to a new folder (the one you just created for the file will work) If it is other that these two kinds, tell us exactly what it is, the possibilities are endless.
