    3. Am I missing something in this thread? What kind of report do you want the "Include Photos" option added to? It is already on the box charts and the hourglass tree charts, in the Books and a few other places. You know, This is a family oriented list, you could get kicked off for using dirty words like "MAC" <};-) Alfred ========== ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony Grisolia" <agrisolia@texoma.net> > > > Given that, I'd like to request an easy way to include siblings of ancestors in an ancestor > wall chart. 3. Arlene is right, of course, but it is all BRUCE'S fault, because he at least listens to our requests, however outlandish he may think some of them to be. I have had two of them for several years now, but one of them will appear in version 10, so I will now pester him half as much as I used to. Now, Bruce, if you can just come up with a FIELD-specific toggle instead of the fact-specific one, so we can choose between individuals to display or not display a field (such as dates of birth and other information that may not be "private" universally), then I will leave you alone FOREVER <g>. Does a genealogist EVER get "enough?" 3. Is there a way to identify (in a custom report) all people who have multiple marriage records? I may have the same problem as Tom did, but my file is over 70,000 individuals. My problem is that some multiple marriage couples may have nothing in the "marriage date" or "location" fields, then some may have information in one or the other fields on one record, but nothing in the other marriage record. Then I will have those couples who have information in one or the other fields in all of the marriage records. James W. There may not be enough room on the floppy to contain the restored database. It would be better to restore it onto your hard drive. But the floppy disk may have gone bad and if that is the case then it may be hopeless indeed! You might try running scandisk on the floppy and have it fix any errors it finds. Do a thorough scan of every sector on the disk. Also, you might try restoring the database using WinZip or PKZip instead of Family Origins. Logically, that shouldn't make any difference, but with computers, you never know. Floppy disks are notorious for going bad . . . . good luck! Wayne League

    3. Another little Wish List item Change the Global Source during GEDCOM import to the same format as the current Source and Citation. Currently, all we can add is a source during the GEDCOM Import, which is pre-loaded with some information. The way I would like to define my source matches the Source and Citation mode, with the source being the person or location the GEDCOM was received from, and the Citation containing the date and specifics. Example: Source= "Family Origins List", and Citation="GEDCOM published 8/13/2001" Since I prefer to place my sources with the Facts, rather than as a General Source, I would like to see an option to add this to each fact during import. In the event the individual has no facts, then as a General Source. Dick

    1. [FO] 6.0 fonts in pedigree charts/upgrade to 10.0?
    2. Penny Hause
    3. Hi, everyone, I'm new to the list...sorry if these are FAQs. In Family Origins 6.0 is there any way of changing the font when you are printing a pedigree chart? It looks like you can select fonts for most of the other reports. If not, is this something that is offered in later versions, i.e., 10.0? I see lots of frills that I might not ever use on the features list on the web site, but don't see the ability to select fonts for pedigree reports specifically mentioned. Do you know if one is eligible for the upgrade price when jumping from 6.0 to 10.0? Thanks, Penny Hause phause@loa.com

    3. Highlight the individual with the multiple marriages you want to rearrange, Go to the "Edit" menu, Select "rearrange" Select "spouses" Drag them to any position you want by moving over one, pressing the mouse button and sliding it up or down into the position you want before releasing the button, (If you select "Children" instead of "spouses" you can rearrange the children in a family the same way) Good Luck, Alfred =========== ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Rennebaum" <tomrenn@rmci.net> > I was not careful entering multiple marriages in the order that they > occurred.
