I have been using small icons on my charts to denote that I have a copy of the relevant documentation for each individual in the form of a national flag plus characters to denote the type, e.g. B, M, M2 D for BMD entries, and 41, 51 etc for census entries. The icons are sized at 250dpi so that they are quite small, as some individuals could have 6+ icons displayed along the bottom edge of their 'box'. I can then easily see where there might be missing supporting evidence. Following an enforced upgrade to Win8.1, my FH project transferred successfully, other than the icons - the Icons folder for some reason had not been backed up. I took Jane's advice and re-created these in the diagram/options/box/add condition process, and selected the right icon for each condition, resized it to 250 dpi and all seemed ok. However, it is misbehaving, as about half of the icons/flags operate correctly, and can be selected from the drop down list which appears when you right click on an individual's record and select 'set flag' - however the other half do not appear in the drop-down list, and even if I manage to force it, it refuses to be downsized to 250 dpi and instead appears on the chart in 'native' size - about the same as the box! There seems to be some corruption somewhere. It may be associated with confusion in my own mind about where the Icons folder is meant to be stored - is it under C\ProgramFiles(x86)\Family Historian\Icons or C\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\Icons ? There was a bit of a scramble trying to get things off a dying Win7 laptop and/or from a big back-up drive which usefully encrypts filenames! Any guidance you could give me would be greatly welcomed as I like my little icons!.
