I have copied lots of information from other peoples trees on Ancestry but never once have I downloaded any. I much prefer to check each individual name and confirm the accuracy. I also copied photographs from these trees except census images. It is by far better to download census images direct from Ancestry. Over the years I have found many errors on other peoples trees though it is time consuming check each name you do learn about individuals and can ensure the accuracy. Hi Victor I have my tree on Ancestry and I too would like to be able to download and merge into FH. I find all sorts of information on Ancestry and it is automatically included in my online tree and it is a real pain to have to enter it all individually in other programs apart from FTM which automatically syncs with the on-line tree. I don't want to download other peoples trees from Ancestry.
