    3. Sorry. My typing! GEDCOM You don't need to change. But if you want to put profiles on Wikitree, it is preferable to use something which is recognised worldwide. Next thing someone might have a solution to: I've managed to create exactly what I want in a text box in a diagram. Is there an easy way to export that as text? I've found the difficult way. What is gedcopm? Google didn't know the term. The resulting mess took 3 months to clean up. I'm now entering by hand, but it speeds things up if I can just copy and paste a biography of essential information and sources. I started with a Word template, which works OK, but still takes a long time. Apart from all the junk, I had the problem that I use Chapman codes and they all had to be replaced. Most of the problem profiles on Wikitree are the result of GEDCOPM uploads which are just dumped when people realise the work involved in the cleanup. I don't know anyone except beginners who still uses that method. Wikitree advises strongly against large GEDCOM uploads, but even a small one is not easy. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

(1) use Diagram > Save Diagram As > PDF File (2) open the saved PDF file with a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader or Nitro Reader (3) simply select the text, then right-click and choose copy text (4) paste the text into wherever you want Regards, Mike Tate
