For settings it's easier to use Mike's excellent backup and restore plugin. If you want to move the locations of the Settings folders you can do this on NTFS formatted PC's using symbolic links. http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=fhugdownloads:contents:link_shell_extension It's a bit advanced in PC terms, but works well for me to keep my custom plugins, text schemes etc in my Dropbox to allow them to be used on both PCs What I also have is a folder above Family Historian Projects which is Family History which contains not only the FHP folder, but also miscellaneous other Family History related files. -- Jane.
