    3. Hi Caryl, Various NVIDIA graphics problems have been reported with FH. This may be caused by some NVIDIA graphics card OEM drivers. Please visit the NVIDIA site where there is an option to detect your graphics card and send you the correct drivers. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk Regards, Mike Tate -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Caryl gill Sent: 20 May 2014 21:55 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FHU] Unlink problem Hi Mike, Something seems to be resetting my Nvidia graphics card to transparent whenever I use the Unlink option. It makes no sense to me, but I've now set transparency to 0, and I seem to be back to normal Caryl -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Beryl and Mike Tate Sent: 20 May 2014 19:20 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FHU] Unlink problem Hi Caryl, OK, it is not obvious what the problem is, so here are some things to try. Reset the Family Historian Sample Project as follows. Use File > Project Window > More Tasks > Samples > Reset Sample Project. Open this Project and try using Edit > Unlink From for various Individuals. If that also fails, then try installing FH V5.0.9 again. If it works OK, then it suggests something unusual about your Project. Does it fail on every Edit > Unlink From for anyone you choose? Does it fail in Focus Window if you right-click anyone and Unlink Record? Are there any convoluted relationships for the problem Unlink? There was no error message, and although the whole thing went transparent, when I clicked on the top toolbar, the menu came down as normal and was not transparent. No problem when I change data. I Just tried it. It goes transparent when I click on <unlink from> . The box with 'parent/spouse' looks normal. But after clicking on the relevant detail for the unlink, it does not return to opaque - but remains transparent and almost unreadable. Is there any specific error message such as "Family Historian has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly."? If that particular message then try the DEP fix at: http://www.family-historian.co.uk/support/faq-inst#wontrun Have there been any significant changes to your PC setup recently? What version of Windows are you using? Today I tried to unlink . The unlink of a spurious husband was successful, but the program went transparent and I was unable to do anything. I had to shut down and restart. This has happened twice now, any ideas please Caryl Gill ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
