A year or two ago I reported having a back up problem with two out of three options being greyed out. That is the medium and Full options cannot be used. Only the Gedcom option is available I have been trying to recall how to restore the project folder. I am sure the details will be in the FHUG archives but wouldn't know how to search that. Can any one help in my being able to restored all three options. My guess is to set up a new project by starting a new task via the Project window but would I lose the previous project details? Finally one big question does anyone know why this happens and can the software be improved to prevent it happening? Victor
Victor, Firstly, what does 'File > File Statistics' say your GEDCOM 'File Name' is? If you can take a screenshot of your 'Family Historian Projects' folder & sub-folders you could post it in the FHUG FH 'General Usage' Forum. http://www.fhug.org.uk/ Then we can see what has happened to your folder structure and advise how to fix it, otherwise we are working in the dark. I suspect it has been caused by using 'File > Gedcom File Tasks' in FH, or perhaps by editing the project folder in Windows Explorer.
