    3. I've had FH since v2 and along the way have been changing the wording in the facts sets, both custom and standard, to suit the sort of phraseology that I want to see in a narrative report. I've also changed pc's twice in this time, but now I can't remember for the life of me how to export the amended standard events and attributes to my new machine. I've managed to transfer the custom ones OK, but please help for the standard ones :).

There is a list of the different locations, based on your Windows version here: http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=how_to:move_settings FYI: What I did once I got the file was copy it into the Custom directory and rename it to Jane's Standard and made sure it was ahead of the standard one in the fact set's list. -- Jane. 3. Thank you Jane. I'll put the two machines together, then I can read the instructions on the new one and find the file on the old one. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jane Taubman Sent: 21 March 2014 16:29 To: family-historian-users Subject: Re: [FHU] Transferring to new computer On 21 March 2014 16:09, Greenbee <[email protected]> wrote: > I've managed to transfer the custom ones OK, but please help for the > standard ones :). > You'll need to go into the Program data folder on the old computer and copy it out. 3. You don't say, but if you have FH V5 there is a Plugin call "Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings" that lets you easily transfer ALL customisations and preferences from PC to PC whether Custom or Standard.
