I usually do all my research using a saved Ancestors chart, however recently whenever I input parents for a child the chart does not update and show boxes for those parents. as far as the chart is concerned the child does not have parents Within FH the child is correctly identified as the child of its new parent/parents and vice versa. The only way round it is to generate a new chart and change its name. It makes no difference whether the data is input via AS or directly in the focus window. This would normally only be a minor irritant were it not for the fact that I have many individuals "marked" on the chart for further research, unfortunately the Mark only seems to identify the box and not the individual in it, consequently I have to laboriously remark everything whenever a new parent is added. Is there a setting that I have unwittingly changed ? , Any assistance appreciated. Regards Ray G
