I use a flag "focus" that colours boxes green in diagrams to indicate how far I have got in reviewing the people in large trees. Alternatively I find it useful to order the records window by the column Updated with the most recently updated people at the top of the list so that I can easily refresh my memory as to who I was working on last and continue from where I left off.
