    3. OK, I was just trying to find an explanation for the fact that the last filter doesn't seem to work. If I copy and paste =IsTrue(%FACT.SENT% = "") into the Expression field on the Rows tab, the Operator field has no options and the Add button is disabled. What have I missed? The Gedcom structure is indeed mysterious, as you say, if it is possible to link something to a citation when there is no linked Source record! What does the citation refer to, if not to a Source? :-\ On 21/04/2014 17:27, Beryl & Mike Tate wrote: > Hi Lorna, > > I know it is a bit convoluted, but you have the logic back to front. > > The last filter is saying Exclude unless =IsTrue(%FACT.SENT% = "") is true > i.e. > Keep the Fact in the Result Set if it has NO custom Sentence, which is the normal case. > But if it has a non-standard customised Sentence (not a blank one) then we must not delete the Fact, so exclude it from Result Set. >

    3. Lorna, Sorry, that is typo on my part, an underscore is missing, so it should be: =IsTrue(%FACT._SENT% = "") I've even confused myself about items subordinate to a Fact. =IsTrue(%FACT.SOUR2% = "") is a special Citation structure called a Source Note that is allowed independently of Source Record links. =IsTrue(%FACT.OBJE% = "") is a link to a Multimedia Record directly from the Fact (not the Citation). =IsTrue(%FACT.OBJE2% = "") is a Local Multimedia item attached directly to the Fact.
