Can someone help please. For various historical reasons, I've got 2 major gedcom files which I've worked on at different times and, over the years, I've added different sources to each of the files and now they are out of sync. I would like to tidy up the numbering by re-numbering the sources in one file to be the same as those in the larger one. I appreciate there may be an occasion clash of numbers but I can work through those few instances. I've exported a list of sources in both files so I will have a comparison list of changes I'll want to make. I have some questions I'd like help with:- 1) Is there a simple way to re-number a source ID and any record citations that use that source (other than using find-and-replace in a text editor in the basic GEDCOM file) 2) If I add a new source, is there a way of defining the source number (the default seems to be the next number after the current top source number) 3) if in the future I start a new project, what is the best way to pre-load it with all my "usual" sources Many thanks Brian
