The list seems to have sailed into stormy waters in the last few days. We have had a spate of garbage emails with dodgy links that you shouldn't click on (the "Fw: new message" ones). And now we have had another problem which may be a side-effect of the first (not sure yet): a large number of users have been automatically unsubscribed by RootsWeb (the people who manage this Mailing List). We are investigating why this has happened and the quickest way to rectify it. So please bear with us. Unfortunately of course anyone who has been unsubscribed (unless they immediately re-subscribed) will not get this message. However, if you know anyone who is wondering what is happening, do pass this information on to them. As I say, we are working on it, and hope to re-subscribe everyone who was automatically unsubscribed in this way. For future reference, if you do get unsubscribed unexpectedly and you did not want to unsubscribe, please just re-subscribe. This automatic unsubcribing probably has happened because your email provider has blocked messages from Rootsweb. If so, the problem is likely to correct itself, but it may take a day or two. If you continue to be unsubscribed automatically, please just wait a day or so and then try again. Sorry about the inconvenience.
