Afternoon, I use a Mac rather than a PC and in order to keep FH I have been running parallels up to this point. If I update my OS I also need to upgrade Parallels as the version I have isnt compatible with newer operating systems, and I believe that the Windows licence I have has run out, and may need re-doing if I perform the other updates / upgrades, and will end up becoming costly. My question is for people that run emulators on Macs in order to keep FH, which ones do you use, and are they supported? I have read on a forum somewhere that not all software works well on all programmes. Ideally I would like one that doesnt require a Windows licence - ie Crossover, mostly for the cost but also for cluttering up the machine with things I dont need - I dont use the 'PC portion of my Mac for anything else. Another forum also mentioned one called Fusion that I had not previously heard of. So I wanted to ask people who are using the same software that I want to run on the emulator what they find the best. Thanks Karen
Have you seen the FHUG Knowledge Base advice: http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=how_to:family_historian_v6_on_crossover_wine Why do you think your Windows licence has run out? It should have been a retail licence, that I don't believe has a time limit. Regards, Mike Tate -----Original Message----- Subject: [FHU] Which emulation programmes are supported?
