On FH Version 6.0.4; when opening FH on a Focus person and then selecting the Individual Records the Record Properties 'No record selection' box appears that has to be closed before the Individual Records can be accessed. Is there a way of preventing this box appearing? Clive Spratt

Hi Clive, I am not sure how that is happening and cannot recreate the symptoms. If I understand correctly, you simply open FH which defaults to the Focus Window, and then open the Records Window which defaults to the Individuals tab, and that produces the 'No record selection' error message box. Try using 'Tools > Preferences > Workspaces' and reset it to 'Installation Settings' then close and re-open FH. As a matter of interest do you have the File Root set to an Individual or not? Clive, This will happen if you have set your Workspace preferences so that the default action for the Property Box is 'None' or 'Close it' for the Focus window but the default is 'Open it' for the Records window. A similar message appears in the Property box if you have FH set to open on the Records window by default. However it is not necessary to close the Property box to access the records. Perhaps you just mean you have the box set to floating so it is in the way? So there are various solutions: Set the Property box to open by default in the Focus window, or do not have it set to open by default in the Records Window, or have the Property box docked in the Records window so it is not in the way.
