    3. Penny If you have a DVD drive on your PC, and make it shareable, then you can access it from any other machine on your WIFI network. That means that you won't need an external DVD just for program loading. I have successfully installed quite a lot of software on a laptop with a broken DVD from a laptop with a working DVD.
