I wonder if you are using the "Everyone" Diagram and some Individual boxes for Individuals that are replicated in different trees are linked by curved coloured ribbons. There are other types of Diagram (Ancestor, Descendant, Ancestor & Descendant, All Relatives) that include different amounts of data. To save the Diagram as an image file use menu option Diagram > Save Diagram As... and choose from the options. PDF File (.pdf) is very popular. To save as a Family Historian Chart use menu option Diagram > Save Diagram. This allows you to use View > Saved Charts and retrieve the Chart Diagram at a later date with all the layout options retained, but any additional Individuals in your database inserted. I am having trouble with producing a chart. I enter data and apparently produce a Diagram. After entering a certain amount of data the diagram breaks into sections on coloured arrows. I think I have to save the diagram before I can produce a chart. Could someone please explain how to do this and why I can't get a chart. Anyn help gratefully received Cheers Alan ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to FAMILY-HISTORIAN-USERS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Got It!! Thats exactly what I was doing. Managed to save as an FH chart and able to recall it. Thanks for your help. I've now got to do minor corrections and reconnect family members after importing from another prog. Glad to be of help. When it comes to learning about FH, may I suggest you register for free on the FHUG website at http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi There are Forums on FH and related topics, a Knowledge Base Wiki full of advice, and a multitude of free Downloads. Jane, who also offered advice, runs the FHUG website.
