    3. I have a small problem with a second marriage. Normally I enter both parties to the marriage into the named list, but now I find myself with a second marriage which, to my simple mind, calls for a second entry of the name of one of the parties. FH politely ignores any attempt to do this. I have consulted the Manual, and online FAQs, without enlightenment. If there is a neat way of doing this, I'd be glad to know it. Anything more complex than basic-basic is out, and I can live with three names in the list instead of four. Maybe my logic is at fault. Martin Mitchell.

    3. You should not create a second entry for the Individual who has married twice. Genealogy programs like FH keep all the info about one person in one Record. So, open the Property Box of the Individual who has married for a 2nd time. About halfway down where it says Spouse, there is tab for the existing Spouse and a blank tab. Click on the blank tab and then click the Add Spouse/Partner pale blue link. You can either Create New Record or Link Existing Record of the 2nd Spouse. Having completed that, if the Spouse tabs are in the wrong order, then use the right to swap them round. 3. Understood, Mike, and thankyou. The Records Window and Property Dialog are in order, precisely as you describe, each individual appearing only once; with any subsequent marriages correctly ordered. My question is, how (if atall) does a second Marriage Certificate, for those whose name appears on more then one Marriage Certificate, show up in my Named List of individuals for whom I hold such certificates. E.g. Person A certificate of marriage to Person X; Person A certificate of marriage to Person Y. Then the corresponding entries, which present no problem; Person X certificate of marriage to Person A; Person Y certificate of marriage to Person A. Each Marriage Certificate in my possession thus results in two entries in that list. In general. Might it be simplest to add a column to that list to indicate instances where (or whether) an individual has made multiple marriages, showing 1, 2, 3 or whatever? Regards, Martin Mitchell.

    3. Martin, Named lists can only have one copy of each record so you can't add the same person twice, I am not clear as to why you are adding the individuals to a named list. Perhaps if you explain why you are adding them to the list it will become clear as to what you are trying to achieve.
