    3. To Jane's reply I would add the suggestion to add an unknown father and hang children off that relationship, rather than just adding the children directly to the Mother. After all, there must have been one, however transient. If and when you find the details, you simply update the Unknown individual with the appropriate details. It's also worth browsing or searching the FH Mailing List Archive; these subjects have invariably been discussed in the past. HTH, John _____ From: family-historian-users-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:family-historian-users-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Laraine Hake Sent: Monday, October 10, 2011 7:32 AM To: family-historian-users@rootsweb.com Subject: [FHU] help please for a very new user I am very new to using Family Historian (but not to Family History!) and would be very grateful indeed if I there is somebody who would be willing to point me in the direction of finding out the answers to some of my problems............ For example: this morning I have entered a new spouse to a woman who already had children. It had not occurred to me that they were not linked to a father and so the new spouse now appears to be their father which is incorrect........ I have searched Help and the booklet to no avail. I can't even figure out how to use my previous backup which could be the easiest option.
