If you are using FH V4 and have recorded the Address in either the Place field or the Address field then open the Standard Query > All Facts. Use the Query Menu (menu with red tick in toolbar top right) and choose Save As Custom Query with a name of your choosing. On the Columns tab add Address from the Fields pane to the Columns pane as Expression: %FACT.ADDR%. Run the Query (red triangle in toolbar top right) and on the Result Set tab you can sort by Place or by Address. Click on the Place or Address column heading for ascending sort, or hold the Alt key while clicking for descending sort. If you have too many Facts to look through easily, then add a Rows tab filter. Use Condition: Add if Use Expression: selected from drop down list at right-hand end of box and choose %FACT.ADDR% Use Operator: contains Use Value: type in a unique part of the address to search for Click the Add button and then run the Query again. To do the same for Place then use %FACT.PLAC% instead of %FACT.ADDR% above. Visit the FHUG at http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi where there is wealth of free info, including how to create Queries like the one above. Is there anyway to look for a particular address? I have tried to write a query but the address field appears in so many different facts that I am not getting very far.
