This lists the names and at the bottom is the reference. I highlight the reference details and copy it into One Note. I have three columns in One Note. The first is for the reference details which I abridge to something like this RG12-3918_Fo-39_Page-26 Henry Arnott 1855 On the second column I copy the name of the head and birth year. I then open the census image and use copy image from the menu. Then I open my photo software (I have Corel Paint Shop Pro) and prompt paste as new image from the edit menu. I then straighten out the image and crop it before putting a red boarder over the names on my tree. The save it in the appropriate census year folder. Using Ancestry Source I copy the image direct into there. If you haven't done this before it sounds like an awful lot of work but once you get into routine it only takes a few minutes. Victor

    3. Forgot to add. With the census ref in One Note I highlight that and Copy it. Using this to save the census image into the folder and also to call it up in Ancestry Sources. I also use it for the ref ID in Ancestry Sources Victor On 04/10/2011 10:13 PM, Victor Markham wrote: > On 04/10/2011 10:01 PM, Yasmin wrote: >> Hi Victor >> I too have one note and find it really useful, but never thought of >> census >> details to you copy the scans or just the references. >> Yasmin > What I do is open the census details on Ancestry.
