    3. Linda, please take a look at: http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=how_to:move_settings Which covers all the details for moving your settings around. 3. Sorry to be so thick but can you explain the following please - >>If you have *Custom Record Window Columns* save these as *Queries* from the *Configure Columns* editing dialogue so you can restore them from the * Query* on the new PC.<< How do I restore these settings from a query on the new PC? I saved as a query but when I go to Configure Columns for the Individual Records List and click on Load from Query, the query name I saved is not there. The query does appear on the new PC under Family Historian -> Queries. 3. Can you confirm you actually mean you can see the Query in the View/Custom Queries menu in Family Historian? If you open the query can you confirm it's an Individual based Query On 5 October 2011 09:38, Linda Hansen <lindamhansen@gmail.com> wrote: > the query name I saved is not there. 3. My Custom Queries on the new PC is empty. I have done something wrong. On the new PC under Program Files -> Family Historian I have the normal folders (Diagrams, Fact Types, Flags etc.) but they don't have the Custom and Standard sub-folders that I had on the old PC. To solve my Record Windows columns I've manually re-entered them so they are now as I want them. 3. Sorry if this is obvious. Is it possible to create a diagram with the most recent people only shown as 'Living Smith' or equivalent? Martin

    3. Yes, Martin. One technique is to set the "Living" flag on all Individuals who are still alive. Then in the Diagram use the "Edit Text Scheme" feature to choose the text in the box depending on whether the "Living" flag is set or not. May I advise that you join the free FHUG at http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi where there is a wealth of information about such topics. For example: FHUG Downloads "Living People Identification" at http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=fhugdownloads:livingpeople How to "Delete Data For Living People" at http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=how_to:delete_data_for_living_people Regards, Mike Tate -----Original Message----- From: family-historian-users-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:family-historian-users-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Martin Allen Sent: 12 October 2011 09:49 To: family-historian-users@rootsweb.com Subject: [FHU] Diagram Sorry if this is obvious.
