I'm going through a huge GEDCOM (starting at 7000 persons) for a friend, doing many many merge/compares. Each time I start a merge/compare, I have to expand the window to full screen, then resize the panels widthways so that I can see all the information in both the "from" and "to" panels, and increase the width of the left hand column in each so the relationships become visible . If possible I would lose the left hand panel completelyas I don't find the information in this very useful(I expand the middle and right hand panels to take up all its space). It doesn't take that long to do, but when you have possibly hundreds of merge/compares to do, it becomes a bit of bind! Is there a way of saving custom layout settings for the merge /compare window so it automatically appears the way I find it useful? I can't see anything in the help section or that it has been discussed on this forum before.
