Thanks, Ian, but Christening isn't one of the Property box Menu options, yet the property boxes originally showed Christening. You may need to uncheck the box marked "Show most commonly use items only" to see the christening option. Boxes in the diagram which already featured Christening have retained the christening information, but christening doesn't appear in the property boxes so I can't add any more christenings. I've gone to Diagram-Options-Text-Edit, and Christening is already on the RHS. I've moved it back to the LHS, moved it again to the RHS, pressed Apply, but it doesn't appear in the Property Box. As Ian said untick the box marked most commonly used items this will reveal Christening among others. When you open the menu at the top of the property box prompt customize you will find the box near the bottom on the left Victor On 14/12/2011 11:33 PM, Dennis Hawkins wrote: > Thanks, Ian, but Christening isn't one of the Property box Menu options, yet > the property boxes originally showed Christening. > Dennis Hawkins > > -----Original Message----- > From: Ian Thirlwell > Sent: Wednesday, December 14, 2011 11:14 PM > To: family-historian-users@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [FHU] Property box > > To customise the properties box you need to open a properties box (not > diagram options) then click the "menu" icon and select from the available > options. You can enter a christening event for an individual without customizing the property box. Just go to the Fact tab, click on 'Add Fact' and select Christening from the list which appears. But if you use the christening event a lot and want the field to appear on the main tab, do as Ian said in his message: click the menu icon in the toolbar at the top of the property box and select 'Customize'. Did you remember to uncheck the "show most commonly used items only" box? You will find Christening in the list on the left. Highlight it, click the arrow in the middle to move it to the list of selected items on the right, then use the up/down arrows to move it to the desired position in the list and click OK.
